Following the announcement of Hayden Panettiere’s death at age 36, attention has returned to a part of her career that sometimes stood behind her acting work: music. The actress built a substantial recording history, especially through her role as country singer Juliette Barnes on the television drama Nashville.

During the show’s six-season run, Panettiere performed dozens of songs that were later released commercially on soundtrack albums. Several recordings reached the country charts, including Telescope, Undermine, Wrong Song and Don’t Put Dirt on My Grave Just Yet.

Her music career started years before Nashville. As a child performer, Panettiere recorded songs connected to movies including Ice Princess and Bridge to Terabithia. In 2008, she released Wake Up Call, her first single not connected to an acting project.

Her recording history also included an early Grammy milestone. At age 10, Panettiere received a nomination for her voice work on the A Bug’s Life Read-Along, making her one of the youngest Grammy nominees in history.
