Toronto air quality among world’s worst as wildfire smoke blankets city

Environment Canada’s poor air quality warning in Toronto due to wildfire smoke could stick around until the end of the week, said a meteorologist, just as a three-day heat warning for the city has lifted. The federal weather agency is urging people in the city to avoid going outdoors, as the city’s air quality has been ranked among the worst in the world Wednesday.
